Monterey, Calif. — The Junior League of Monterey County (JLMC) is pleased to host a Galentine’s Day Open House on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Old Whaling Station, located at 391 Decatur Street within the Heritage Harbor Business Complex in Monterey.
Guests will mingle with old friends and meet new ones while enjoying the historic charm of the Old Whaling Station adobe. The Old Whaling Station is available for event rentals and hosts engagement parties, weddings, receptions and various functions throughout the year. Wine and cookies will be served, and guests will have an opportunity to make their own scented bath bomb to take home.
The Junior League is a nonprofit organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. Since 1980, the Old Whaling Station has been leased by the League from the California State Department of Parks and Recreation. The property has undergone extensive restoration under the League’s care, and is available for public event rentals.
